Or Spanish movies with English subtitles.
I use isohunt but I've been through most that they have to offer unless someone has a search tip I am unfamiliar with.
I'd really like a torrent site. I'm not crazy about the Ares type programs but I will one if it's worth it.
My wife doesn't speak English so it's nice to watch subtitled movies with her. If I watch anything that is at all complex in Spanish, I like to have subtitles because my Spanish isn't that good and I have to have to be too alert to understand all the different Spanish accents.

gimmedub says on Jul 30, 2009, 07:12: your best option is to goto a site like http://www.subtitlesource.org/ then see which movie and their associated torrent files have the spanish subtitle then d/l that one... e.g. a search on benjamin button shows there's 7 different torrent files that have spanish subs...

corporalgator (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jul 30, 2009, 08:13: I like downloading full dvds so my quality doesn't drop and most don't have subtitles. I use a private torrent site, but then download the subtitles from http://www.opensubtitles.org/en and sync them. It can be a real pain in the ass sometimes, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. I've found very few movies that did not have subtitles on the site.

ColombianoGringo (Moderator) (Trustee board) (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jul 30, 2009, 09:03: Honestly, It'd be easier to just go out and buy pirated DVDs on the street. We used to buy them from a guy in Neiva's main park who even guaranteed his product. Normally, I don't advocate or condone piracy, but DVD prices in Colombia are outrageous. In the US, we just use Netflix, but even the rental options in Colombia are way overpriced for the average person. I'm so hip, I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Mononoke28 says on Jul 30, 2009, 11:26: We also use Netflix which lets you watch several movies by using your internet account. We used to watch every movie with Spanish subtitles and have moved up to English subtitles. Next stop... no subtitles needed land. Diana 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

However, I haven't seen any of the streaming movies that have subtitles. Hulu does have captions at least for a lot of their shows. pedro (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jul 30, 2009, 14:07: You normally procure the movie and the subtitles separately. Except if you can get the full DVD version (not so painstaking if you have a fast connection), then it may come with Spanish subs built in. Mononoke28 says on Jul 30, 2009, 16:25: You're right... I didn't think of that. I've never watched the movies on the computer since we get them in the mail but my sister has and she said she clicks on it and it starts playing, so of course... no subtitles. Good catch CG. Diana 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Now I have a few LCDs as well, but also with PC port. Also, most decent video cards these days support HDMI. I'm so hip, I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
