Where to download Englsih movies with Spanish Subtitles?

Or Spanish movies with English subtitles.

I use isohunt but I've been through most that they have to offer unless someone has a search tip I am unfamiliar with.

I'd really like a torrent site. I'm not crazy about the Ares type programs but I will one if it's worth it.

My wife doesn't speak English so it's nice to watch subtitled movies with her. If I watch anything that is at all complex in Spanish, I like to have subtitles because my Spanish isn't that good and I have to have to be too alert to understand all the different Spanish accents.

The Pirate Bay.

You could just type the name of the desired movie into a search engine, followed by "torrent" if you know what you want.

Try it

your best option is to goto a site like http://www.subtitlesource.org/ then see which movie and their associated torrent files have the spanish subtitle then d/l that one... e.g. a search on benjamin button shows there's 7 different torrent files that have spanish subs...

I like downloading full dvds so my quality doesn't drop and most don't have subtitles. I use a private torrent site, but then download the subtitles from http://www.opensubtitles.org/en and sync them. It can be a real pain in the ass sometimes, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. I've found very few movies that did not have subtitles on the site.

We also use Netflix which lets you watch several movies by using your internet account. We used to watch every movie with Spanish subtitles and have moved up to English subtitles. Next stop... no subtitles needed land.

You normally procure the movie and the subtitles separately. Except if you can get the full DVD version (not so painstaking if you have a fast connection), then it may come with Spanish subs built in.

Say you're downloading a. avi type file sized for 1CD. Look on the free subtitles sites for a companion subtitles file in .srt format. You may need to experiment with various versions to find one synced to the movie you chose (videos use different frame rates, or the studio introduction at the start being present / not present can throw your subtitles file out of sync).

You can use a program vobsub to show the subs on the fly while using Windows Media Player. Or there is one media player that superimposes your .srt files automatically (I think it might be VLC?). Your .srt file needs to have exactly the same filename as the video file to be picked up and played.

You're right... I didn't think of that. I've never watched the movies on the computer since we get them in the mail but my sister has and she said she clicks on it and it starts playing, so of course... no subtitles. Good catch CG.
