Where to buy Cafe Sello Rojo - Tip Medio in USA?

Sample letter from friend:

I have been enjoying the coffee you brought back from Colombia. I would really like to purchase more!! Karl told me that you have family there and they might be able to send a few packages to the states. Please let me know and I will gladly pay for the coffee and postage. I made a pot for my co-workers the last couple of days and everyone loves it!!

Ebay Yes, we checked Ebay but they don't have Sello Rojo. She likes that kind because its ground very fine like powder.

They have many many Grinders on eBay Buy the beans, set the grind and you get the coffee much cheaper. Grinders are cheap, make sure it is a Burr Grinder and not one of those $12 Target specials. Sello Rojo is overated for the price. Ebay has many colombian coffee venders at better prices and probably fresher(end product).I have seen Sello rojo at various colombian restaurants here in Miami, one just closed in my neighborhood.

I just happen to be near the end of my last bag of Sello Rojo. But, I do have a couple packs for Sello Dorado left. Like Rum (Ron Viejo de Caldas) I usually buy them for gifts for friends and family. Speaking of Rum, I'm down to my last bottle and need another trip so I can restock my supply.

God Bless America!

amigofoods.com See if a local Colombian store or restaurant has it in your area and if that is not an option then you can order on line through:

Not trying to disagree with Scotty, but I have brought vacuum sealed blocks of coffee back from Colombia, and never had it opened by customs. Of course, I have only done that a few times, so maybe I got lucky?

Good coffee When people ask me why I moved to Colombia I sometimes tell them, "To be closer to the good coffee." I love good coffee and have tried everything I can from around the world.

Now about Sello Rojo. I took a package back to the USA to one of my favorite coffee shops. The owner is more knowledgeable than I am about coffee. He is the guy that when a customers says, "Just give me any coffee, they are all the same anyway," He advises them to go down the street to Starbucks. Oh for those of you in the area it is Dry Creek Coffee shop in Clovis California. Talk with Clarence, the man knows his coffee and can carry on a very intelligent conversation about it.

Anyway, the bag of Sello Rojo I took to him said on it, "Not for Consumption outside Colombia." Clarence determined the blend and grind was best suited for espresso. Next came the test test of his better and more knowledgeable customers. Everyone loved it.

I have heard rumors that companies cut coffee sold in the USA with something. I don't know, but no one has ever failed to appreciate more the coffee I bring from Colombia.

Now I can't wait for my next trip back to Dry Creek, I have found coffee that I believe is even better.

Oh, and I have never had a bag of coffee opened by customs either.

See It in .... in 90% of the Latin markets in the Miami/Dade area. Also we constantly bring it as gifts, as well as other kind, and NEVER have been bothered by customs

lucky I brought 3 sealed packs of rojo through the miami airport and they cut them open. then i had my novia mail me 3 packs of rojo and they cut them open to. they taped them up with scotch tape. it was pathetic, messy and ruined the coffee.
Later I hear from a Brazillian friend that there is a International grocery market just a few miles from my home that sells food from all over the world including Colombia. I went to the store and sure enough there was Colombian Rojo coffee. Now Im happy!
