Where is a good Colombian Restaurant in NYC?

Hi guys,
I know some of you live or have live in NYC. Do you know about any good Colombian Restaurant. I'm going for new years and would love to eat some empanaditas, sancochito, bandejita, hmmm, cualquier antojito de esos. I'm going with the infamous boyfriend. =) He's requesting ajiaco. His favorite!
Here in North Carolina you can't find anything.

El Basurero. Restaurant & Bar. 32-17 Steinway Street. Astoria. My favorite but a little pricey for Queens. They make the Arepas right there and the atmosphere is great.

Go to Northern Blvd and 79-83rd St. in Queens. You can take your pick of a at least 10 diff. places.

Why not? There are a 100,000 or more Colombians living in Queens NY. The Colombian food in NYC is up to par with Colombian food in Colombia.

yea - i think 'good' for colombian food is relatively. the food overall would probably rate 'okay' at best (highly subjective, I know--this is just the general consensus amongst foodie friends of mine who constantly sample foods from all over the world).

OP's question is not incorrect by any means -- she just wants to know where to find a good colombian restaurant, which is in other words is considered better than other colombian restaurants.

There is this place I really like, if I remember correctly it's on Roosevelt (La rusbel) near 82nd... I think it's called cositas ricas (I think), it's a bakery/restaurant. I also like La Cazuela , Tierras Colombianas and Pollos Mario. They also make some good cholaos on 37th avenue, I think it's called El Palacio de los Cholaos or something, I haven't been to queens in 4 months so my memory is foggy.

I did find however that there are a lot of mexican eateries starting to pop up where the colombian ones used to be.

Hey Swinn, you beat me to giving a shout out to Mi Tierrita. Love that place. My Salvadoran girlfriends in CI turned me on to it. Great place. I'm heading out there around the holidays, any chance you'll be around?
