where do i get the K-1 packet???

Unsure which website you are talking about... You might want to check out the Visajourney.com community. Look under the "Guides" section, you will find info for the entire K1 process. You will also find links to all forms/applications(downloadable) related to the K1 visa.

note: With the new IMBRA laws, I recommend you participate/read the K1 forum -- TONS of info there for you and lots of new happenings right now. I don't think the new I-129F applicaitons are available just yet, but I could be wrong.

go to WWW.USCIS.gov On the right hand side click on forms. You are looking for the I-129f. The instructions and forms are there. Read them and then cruise visa journey or here etcetera for answers to your questions.

The K1 visa classification is for a "Fiancee Visa". So, what "everyone" is telling you is that the I-129F form/application IS used to apply for a K1/Fiancee Visa.

(it's also used to apply for a K3/non-immigrant spouse visa)...
