I recently stopped by my favorite Colombian restaurant and I had this delicious dinner:
1. Tamal Valluno
1 Sopa de Patacones, small
1 Mora con Leche
2 Empanadas de carne

Tamal Valluno.
They have empanadas they way I love them. Empanadas vallunas!
Empanada, fried wrap filled with meat and potatoes.

Empandas vallunas.

Monpirri says on Nov 8, 2008, 18:57: Yes, but don't let the rookies play with your ingredients because you may end up with a big headache and/or indigestion. "Anyone who still thinks that Colombia is not a gastronomical paradise needs to have their head examined." Darloup 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Monpirri says on Nov 8, 2008, 19:07: I know a paisa restaurant that every time I stop by, well I used to stop by, and order a guanabana con leche and every single time the damn juice would tastes different, too much sugar, not enough fruit, not enough milk, yes, even a simple fruit juice can be screwed up especially if the drink is made by different waitress/waiters or someone else without a clue. Monpirri says on Nov 9, 2008, 06:28: Colombian cooking takes longer to prepare, take for example the tamal and its preparation, also some of the ingredients are imported from Colombia, ie Lulo fruit. Paisa/Calena/Luver says on Nov 9, 2008, 06:44: Actually there is a great Colombian restaurant on Miami Beach that is Colombian owned and staffed and NOT shi shi, it is a mom and pop place along with a counter and few tables. To food, empanadas and soups are so fantastic that it is the best Colombia hallucination I have come across here. It is always packed with pretty much Just Colombians so it must be good. They rotate a daily soup that is always so good! Called MI Colombia 71st street and Indian Creek! "PAY ATTENTION! I wonder if that person knows that when we push the FUNNY button, its because we are reading something outrageous, trying to be cynical, derogatory, sarcastic and/or obnoxious!" 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
