When will Bogota embassy post new interview dates?

Today is the 22nd, and I still don't see any October interview dates posted...

I'm using the url http://bogota.usembassy.gov/wwwfivad.pdf
and they still have the "September" list that they've had for the last couple of weeks.

I thought they typically post new dates very soon after the 20th - but is it more like not immediately after the 20th but in the days following?
Or do I need a different url?
Or it's just a matter of "any time now..."?

Thanks!

Sometimes they are late with posting the list.

I am not an expert, but I was under the impression that if they receive the application before the 20th you'll be given a date for the following month and will be posted by the 27th.

Don't lose faith I was ready to check on the 20th, assuming that's when the new postings would be listed. But on the 19th (a day before), my novia called to tell me she had recieved her packet 4 with an embassy date of October 20. The website still doesn't reflect that.

my fiancee sent her packet 3 out on the 24th of aug. we got our packet 4 on the 21st of sept with a interview date of the 14th of oct. it all seems pretty random to me i have yet to figure out a pattern.

JD, your situation seems not random but exactly to past pattern: packet 3 received prior to the 20th of a month (prior to Sep/20 in your case) results in an interview during the following month (Oct/14 in your case).

Hopefully they post their Oct dates, which they likely already mapped out in some internal meeting on Sep/20 or Sep/21, tomorrow.

I was going to say the exact same thing, Flaleo. By returning her packet on the 24th of August, she missed the boat for September. So she got an interview in October. Bobbyb, I'd bet that your wife's appointment will be on the October list.

Is there a time limit? How much time can someone take to collect all the documents required for the embassy. Is there a limit to send the DS-230?
Also; how long does it take for packet 4 to arrive after the DS-230 form has been signed and faxed?

flaleo We got ours in on the 9th of July and got a 29th of August interview date. The interview dates for August were not posted until the 28 of August. The dates are not set as I have seen in the past but you will get it. In general, if in by the 20th interview the next month but not written in stone. The magic word is "Patience" flaleo, your probably looking at October.
For Kolkes..... We got packet 4 a week before the interview. SOme get it sooner. The amount of time it takes to put everything togather depends on how fast she get the information togather. If you went to visa journey, you should know about all that will be needed on her part.

Friends???? How do you place a value on that?? They are like memories, without them you have nothing

Patience means November... I'm shooting for October, but maybe my returned Pax3 will have to sit around until Oct/20 and then a Nov interview.

I'll post a note once Bogota posts, so everyone knows if they really have to wait for sending/receiving of a Pax3 (see that thread).

I don't get it...

How can they not post Oct interview dates yet... what if someone (not me as if lucky I'll get end of Oct) is assigned an early Oct date like Monday or Tuesday - they're not going to give them any notice?

flaleo In August there was not any posted for the 1st or 2nd of August but on the Fourth there were a few.
They will give you enough time to get things in order make no mistake of it. You may get an October interview but don't be surprised if it is in November. Remember they do not work any holidays. It is not uncommon for them to post late in the month. Look for it on Friday or Monday morning. Your probably looking at the end of October unless there was some kind of issue by your sending in the Packet 3 without receiving theirs first. Good luck to you and remember the word Patience. It will do not good of any kind to get angry with them and their process. They will not feel a thing and it will only upset you more. Be cool. It is about your time now. You will look back and smile at this. What an Education this has been.

Thanks for advice, but how is notice provided Oct/3 (Fri), or even Sep/30 if so, sufficient for an interview date of Oct/5 or Oct/7, or event Oct/10? Not for me, but surely there is some person out there with an interview date of next week. No, I'd instead suspect something like they've moved the interview posts to a different web page - hahahahaha.

Of course we'll have a date of late Oct if luck, or pushed to following month if unlucky (I'd guess 20/80%, respectively)...

This worked out well!

We never received Packet 3 (or maybe it's on its way still) but used internet forms to fax and overnight and they gave us Oct/26 as a date (yea!).

I don't expect we'll ever receive a Packet 4 - so I have a question. Since we can use the internet to know what we have to do in Bogota as part of the interview "week"... can we just pick up the official Packet on Monday, given that our interview is Wednesday? We would perfectly plan Tuesday to cram the lab/bank/doctor all in one day.
