- CO volcanos.
- Massive volcanic eruption in Chile from 9000 years old "dormant" volcano.
- Cataclysmic cyclone in Myanmar where Govt. does not want outside help so tens of thousands perish waiting for aid.
- Lots of deadly twister tornados in U.S.
- Massive earthquake today China.
Are we in or near the "end" days??

beisbollover says on May 12, 2008, 09:31: You know I've been thinking about the situation in Myanmar and I don't think that the people affected are "waiting" for help. I think they already knew that nobody was going to help them and they are helping themselves however they can. I imagine they aren't surprised that the government won't allow outside help and is not doing anything to help them. They probably would die from shock if help did arrive. We are so spoiled in the "West" to think that all people are like us. Those Burmese peasants are well aware that their government is nothing more than a Junta. The last thing they expect is any sort of help. In fact the government is probably happy to see a hundred thousand die. Less people to possibly revolt one day.

Gator says on May 12, 2008, 09:59: I echo ColombiaGringo. A period of fasting and prayer would be appropriate. Does not seem seem any more frequent than in past years. There is also irrefutable evidence it is all tied into the increased use of the Internet. Electromagnetic waves, you know. jaramillo says on May 12, 2008, 10:28: End of days, LOL!! Same old crap we've always had. One difference, though. Because we have reproduced like rats, population densities are much higher. Previously, this cyclone would have wiped out couple of tiny fishing villges. Now there's a huge population there, and they will die like flies. I now see durito made the same point earlier...

For the short time that humans have been here, we don't really have the history to establish recurring patterns or precursors to extinction events. So, we can speculate, analyze, cogitate and prognosticate, but we really don't know nuthin'. Anything can happen at anytime. Life is short, live well.
