You can get the shots with the doctor doing the Medical. Most people have their lab/medical done about 2-3 days before the interview just in case something comes up.

How long does it take to get the results? What results?

Do a google search for ¨CDC, Colombia, vaccination¨, or look for the recent Yellow Fever post here which gives more information.

if you can, get the shots at the local health department. i just paid for it at the doctor for twice what my parents paid for all the shots for an African safari. so, remember that price is a consideration. oh, and insurance usually doesn't cover it. mine didn't.

Assuming you are speaking of a K visa of some type.

All applicants for immigrant visas are required to have the following vaccinations( except K-1), if appropriate, for age, medical condition, or medical history:

* Mumps
* Measles
* Rubella
* Polio
* Tetanus and diptheria toxoids
* Pertussis
* Influenza type B
* Hepatitis B
* Varicella
* Pneumococcal

As a K-1 visa holder, you are not required to fulfill this requirement at the time of your medical examination for a fiancé(e) visa. However, you may want to do so. These vaccinations are required when you adjust status following your marriage.

If these shots have been given in Colombia you may want to obtained a notarized record from your physician. Or just go ahead and get them in Colombia. As state, One way are another you will need them to AOS(Adjust Status) in the USA

And to add to what Gator said: Keep a complete and detailed record of all of your spouse's/fiance's immunizations. When you get to the US and adjust status, you will have to have an approved civil surgeon sign off that the shots are updated and current. The last thing you would want is to have your loved one getting pumped full of redundant immunizations. If you have records of the immunization history, you can probably avoid more shots in the US. All you will have to do is take the records to the approved civil surgeon and have them sign a form saying everything is cool. For us, they did it for free.
