What is your favorite romantic/date thing to do in Colombia

Every country is different when one is courting, dating, or even married when you are being romantic even when married.

I grew up in New Orleans and there were tons of things to do.

In Colombia you have to be a bit more creative. Although I have found taking a walk for an ice cream is one of the most common and and fun ones.

My favorite thing to do when I am in Manizales is to go to Santaguida and rent a cabin in a place called La Moloka. They have swimming pools and a hot tub and all the meals are included.

It is just a nice day or two away with your SO and you really do not have a care in the world other than smooching and putting sunscreen on.

Once I picked up my ex in Manizales from work on a Friday, had her bags packed and a surprise trip to Bogota for the weekend.

She grabbed me and said "Honey, if I cannot make you happy in our bed, we have no business being together, now take me home and make love to me and put that money back in the bank."

She knew what she was doing.

She is a good paisa, still friends, and occasional lovers. Looks like Audrey Hepburn and Penelope Cruz mixed. But she has possibly the worst temper of anyone on this planet.

She turned 30 and had a sever midlife crisis. She looked twenty years old still, but could never understand that I was raised in a culture where 30 was a young woman, and women in their 30s-40s are at their best. I was not about to trade her in a for a sardinita.

In Bogota, go to Monserrate at night, ride the teleferico (they give you a canelazo on your way up to warm you up), eat dinner at San Isidro and drink wine overlooking the city.

Many women love motos here in medellin and a romantic date could include going up las palmas and hang out at a look out point.

It´s not the same if you have to take a bus or taxi.

En Manizales the bullfights turn the town into a horny clusterfuck.

Something about that bloodsport bringing out the primal urges in the gals.

I hate cruelty but eat hamburgers. I do not condone bullfights, but I understand they are part of the culture.

Las Ferias de Manizales have bullfights which culminate in parading through the streets, partying at las fondas, and general debauchery. It is like a release valve Colombians and a part of their heritage.

In the city, dancing until you can't any more, preferably at a place with a good view of the lights at night, and later, a strong, wide bed for the gymnastics.

In the country, maybe a gently rocking boat out under the stars is best, but there is also a place upcountry in Boyaca where they pipe the aguas calientes into tiled tubs in your room, and they have paso fino horses for a nice long ride out into the hills and will lend you a clean blanket for a "picnic" without grinning.

When I first moved to Colombia I had a friend Nestor, who took it open himself to teach me how to be Colombian, not only because of my blood, but many things.

1.Aguardiente- drink it warm out the bottle, no mixers or chasers.
2.Even a Ford Fiesta will attract the ladies.
3.If a girl brings friends on a date, immediately say you are going to split the bill.

Sure some people will say that you are a sexist, very generalizing and opinionated but they are you opinions and yours alone and you don't change your mind because everybody else might disagree with you. Cheap Aguardiente (Box not bottle) and a no 4 play. Pure romance Rocco style. If she brings a friend on date (provided the friend is a girl) they both will be getting 2 minutes of extacy jaja if the friend is a guy, he can pay for me and I will leave after I am drunk and find another girl.
