I do undestand your main concern is that people write, insult and else and then they go back and change whatever they wrote. For that only purpose the print screen will work, it takes a little time but more people benefit editing grammar mistakes, links, pictures than the people changing whatever they wrote.

Who goes back and reads their posts 24 hours later? Post it take a sip of coffe and read it. If you need to add something make a change or edit a mistake - do it and be done with it. After about 15 minutes you should know what you are tring to say - not 24 hours later.

In the past I could attack someone or report something like "Mr PBH Poster is a complete idiot if he thinks X and he probably was raised in a cave by pigs " and then attack him even more. Then after he fights back with me and has a melt down I edit my original post to say "Mr PBH Poster should rethink his logic if he would be so kind"

Now it looks like I'm a saint and the second poster is flying off the handle for no reason.

The possibilities of altering the board and changing history are endless. The ability to change what was said is extremely powerful and can cause endless problems and misunderstandings.

i was really jumped on for this, which is OK, I know I don't run with the herd.

But if you go back to those threads today, after Goldman Sachs, cnbc, msn, etc., now states where oil is going......................my critics have gone back and edited their ad hominem out of the thread. One person changed their ad hom completely and now making it seem like he agreed with me at that time that i wrote it.

i have to say that a time limit on the edit button is the greatest improvement here and should stop the major disagreements as well as ad hom.

Peter - it only happens on my fav computer - lap top (which is new)...UNO the one that would not allow me to sign in until I changed servers? Might be the security and privacy settings - but I don't think a good idea to change.
My other computers, I can log on and do everything without a problem - any server - even older computers!
GS said he was having the same problem.
I appreciate all the suggestions, although many of them I already problem solved.
