Sr Tertius says on Feb 7, 2006, 22:13: There's an old legend that says that when Jimenez de Quesada had settled in what was then Bacata, him and his men asked the Zipa if the could have sexual relations with his women. The Zipa, in his recently learned and very broken Spanish, responded "nanay" (he meant "no hay", i.e., "there is not") "cucas" (he actually said that right, refering to female genitalia). Jimenez got the message immediately, and proceeded to raze Bacata, kill the Zipa, rape his women, and found Santa Fe de Bogotá. "When the finger points to the moon, the fool looks at the finger" (Chinese proverb) 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
