For the non-golddiggers... a small teddy bear and a box of chocolates. A box with three pieces would be fine, anything more she starts to gain weight and also gets spoiled wanting more and more and more.

It's always good to give less to see what her true reaction is to the gifts. I she likes you, for you, any small gift would be greatly appreciated.

Jumbo, don't confuse jaded with simply being truthful. You asked a Question, I gave you an answer based on my travels(what I saw and actually experienced) there since the mid 90s. Include what I saw(and see) here in Miami also with Colombianas.My post was not meant as a Joke, save for the Dollar tree,,,

Real, designer brand perfume is very expensive and somewhat hard to get in Colombia. That would be appreciated. Hand and body lotion type stuff is great. Believe it or not, of all the little things that I have brought to Colombia with me as small gifts, the thing that stands out that really made an impression was a reed diffuser. I bought it at Pier One Imports - $12USD. The family loved it .... and they have mentioned they would like more when we come to visit next. *if you don't know what that is, it is a 10oz or so bottle of scented oil with reeds that stick out of it. It is like a room freshener that lasts for 4 or 6 months.

The agree with advice given above. Keep it nice, but simple and inexpensive.
