What I plan to do unless you guys tell me otherwise is:
I arrive in Cali at 7:30pm by the time the driver get me to the Intercontinental Hotel and I get ready it will be about 10:00pm. I will go to “Avenida Sexta” for some drinks and socializing. Then should I head to “Plaza Norte” for dancing and drinking? Then after that I plan on going to “Juanchitos” for more dancing. What clubs are hot right now there? Are they still open until 6:00am?
Any help you guys could give me I would appreciate because I have not been to Cali since March 2005. The music I like and can dance to is Electronic/Trance, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Merengue, Salsa, Disco, Freestyle and a couple of others. I have danced some Vallenato and a couple other Colombian song types but I would not say that I am any good at those. Thank you ahead of time.
Thanks,
Peter Miami

caslug says on Aug 8, 2005, 12:26: hey i´ll be in Cali this weekend too.. i´ll probably check out avienda sexta, there´s are places that play all those types of music for you. usually the techno or rave places have a young crowd 18-20. If cali is anything like other COL city, then the clubs close at 1 or 2am, then you´ll have to find place that has after hours.

nanis says on Aug 8, 2005, 12:38: peter I liked a club in cali call SUBTERRANEO it's in La Luna they close at 6am, the music, the people and the atmosphere are amazing the club is big i think it has 3 dancefloors and it's in a basement and the interior of the club simulates something from the Flinstones movie, the walls and ceiling makes you feel like you are right under the ground or under a tree the toilets even have Pedros (Fred)and Vilmas (Wilma) name tags on them. but i don't know your taste in clubs that one is quite popular with the middleclass people not "play" enough as they say in cali.

In Yumbo is 4:00 AM (legal sites, there are some which closes the doors and seems to be closed but with lots of people on the inside).

mrxcol says on Aug 10, 2005, 12:26: Yes, Quest cafe Bar Yes i owned a Cafe Bar named Quest Cafe Bar located on avenida Pasoancho. I don't remember you being there or having somebody calling me about some gringo-like guy calling for me (i wasn't there all the time but my employees were there). I had it from Aug 2004 until june 2005. I closed it because it's hard to deal with this kind of business without engouh financial power to invest in advertising. The "castle" structure is still there and i'm looking for the landlord to return the house (funny, it's been over two months since closed and the landlord hasn't come for the house).
