What are the nicest Hotels in Medellin, Poblado, which might offer "apartments"?

It has become increasingly clear to me I need to move to a "hotel apartment" for the first while in Medellin.

Can someone recommend a few of the better hotels in Poblado area, which might offer "apartment style" rooms with kitchens, washer / dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc, etc where I could live for 2 months?

Location, security, and being very nice/upscale are important to me.

HI TY, I know of great apartments in the Poblado Area, fully furnished & all services included from 1,800.000 to around 4,000.000 per month. If you are interested give me a bell(301 27 27 205) and i´ll help you out.

Hi. ha ha, it´s between 1,800.000 to around 4,000.000 per month, i know what you are saying guys and i know you can pic a place up for less (1,200,000 ) but these are high quality places in Poblado fully furnished with everything uncluded, and correct me if i´m worng but TY did say that he wanted "Location, security, and being very nice/upscale very important". You would have to see them before commenting on how high the price is, no?

I believe the question was for the nicest hotels with apartments. It would cost you a lot more than 2k for a month at a top end hotel.

Ditto on the Torrepoblado. I stayed there a couple of times.

The longer you stay the cheaper the rate. Nice hotel. No swimming pool.

I can offer him a closet in my wife's apartment for $500 a month. Of course my sister-in-law will expect him to do the laundry by hand once a week.

i don't remember if they had 'conveniences', but i lived a month and a half at the intercontinental hotel in las palmas and never lacted anything. sure it was expensive, by any standard--$5,500,00--but the service was excellent, everything was available on demand, at a moments notice and i didn't need anything that they couldn't provide. it served until i got my condo and then later my home in poblado. if you're gonna put out $$$ in poblado for your residence, i personally recommend getting a house and having your privacy. those condo towers and town homes are just to congested with other folks.

I only paid $200 bucks a month for this place in Envigado. Nice and quiet. I slept with the door and windows unlocked at night.

Yeah you don't need to be in Poblado. I just can't believe these prices quoted here. Hysterical.

TY you can stay in a private room in a hostal in Poblado that has it's own bathroom for 45K a day or $280 a week. Internet and maid service included. Sure there's lots of people hanging around, but you have your own room and plenty of locals and expatriates that can help you out. This allows you time to look for an apartment and get a lay of the land without laying out big bucks - AND because it is not as luxurious as a high brow hotel you are more motivated to get out of there and move things along - if that is what you want. Contact me again if you have any questions.

check the Park 10 Hotel.. It doesn't get any better than that. It's a few blocks from parque lleras, and sort of on a quiet corner... up on a hill side. Two-story suites.. really nice inside. Total class and luxury.

Morphus, short on cash and got 'the Clap' today?

If you're willing to pay $1,600 USD, there's no better place that www.theapartmentmedellin.com

Furnished with class... not the "hotel" furniture or that old looking stuff. The apartment is owned by a cool guy from Austrialia (Andrew) that will show you around town and everything is included. Spent a week there last spring and had a blast. Didn't want to leave. He owns several apartments with different prices. Plenty of photos on the site. I stayed in Poblado in the same building Andrew and his roommate Jon live in. Jon took me and my buddy out and showed us a great time. Tell them Joe from San Diego sent you.

Cheers.

Joe,

I do not think he owns these apartments. At least the one I rented from him was own by some guy from Italy, I think. I got a really good deal on a 3 bedroom. I would not pay those prices listed on his site.

Mitch.... it's not advertisement. I have no affiliation with him. I went there and had a great time and felt it was totally worth $65 a day. What's the difference between an apartment and a restaurant that is so often recommended on this site? And what are you talking about being crazy and cheating people to pay $65 a day? Loosen that tie of yours, take a chill pill and relax.

RUV... I actually do not not for sure if he owns them... I just assumed he did because he's the one who runs it.
