novelas in rcn, there's los reyes, which is a version of an argentinian one, very funny, great actors, same ol' story about the poor gone rich, but it's very entertaining and not very melodramatic... much to my dismay I must admit I'm a huge novelas fan, and have watched most of them, they're a vital part of my life... you can check the websites of caracol and rcn to find out which novelas are on right now... I'm really hooked on them and now am trying to break free from the slavery...

Thank you Carolain11 :) I will check the sites...

Interesting an Argentinian Novela1 I am not sure if I have seen one ever from Argentina.

I know what you mean about being hooked to novelas..here in the US I just don't have the time..anytime I watched one it was crazy! my life would revolve around it ! I would have to tape it then spend the weekend catching up !!!!!!! crazy! but they are so good, such an enjoyable sin ;)

The last one I watched here was a mexican one ( I live in L.A) and it was :AMARTE ES MI PECADO..... I loved that novela.. I even had my Hindu boyfriend hooked on it! ( he speaks & understands spanish)

did you see that one?

I hope Pedro El Escamoso isn't very popular in Colombia. I can't stand the guy who plays Pedro, someone needs to tell him that the mullet has been out of styled since the 80's.

to antioqueñita and elche.... I'm not sure I watched that one "amarte es mi pecado" but about 7 or 8 years ago, I had el canal de las estrellas and univision, and boy let me tell you, I spent a lot of time watching those!!! alguna vez tendremos alas, la mentira, camila, amada enemiga, girasoles para lucia, soñadoras, amigas y rivales, I could go on forever... by that tiem i was a teenager and it harmed my social life, still trying to get back on my feet... and to elcheamericano, the guy who played pedro, miguel varoni, doesn't really wear a mullet, that was filmed about 5 years ago, and the reason he had it is because, as well as in the U.S, people from lower social strata and little education think of it as a status symbol... he was just playing a part, I actually think he's pretty handsome, and he's been acting forever, he's what we call here a "galan"

The Escamoso novela seems very interesting! I looked up pictures of Miguel Varoni with the mullet! que risa! but reading about it I can see why he needs this "look" for this novela.

Univision is a Huge Novela chanel and is too bad I have not been able to watch many here... I know I watched "los Parientes Pobres" "cara sucia" and a few others ..this was many many years ago.

But I am sure once I get back.. it will be at least one novela daily! ;)

Che,

'Pedro el Escamoso' took place in the 80's, that's why he wore the mullet.

colombianox I'm gonna have to disagree with you, it didn't take place in the 80s, but the late 90s

Sorry to disagree But Pedro was early 2000´s and the whole mullet thing was part of the idea. People like seeing somebody completely out of context within the traditional society, same as Los Reyes right now.

I know Pedro was filmed and aired in the early 2000's, but I'm pretty sure it took place a few years earlier.

I knew that because the OP said "watch"... estaba bromeando... I was just playing with the words. When I first saw novela I thought books, but then from the posts I knew you meant telenovela. But just for fun I decided to list some bestsellers...

I didn't mean to be sarcastic and hope I haven't offended you!
