Weather - July -Bogota?

I was searching wunderground.com and it seems over past few years, the weather for Bogota in July is flip a coin, rain or cloudy with sunny breaks.

Anyone live there with a 'real' opinion to give me on this?

Thanks a bunch.

July is the end of rainy season, going into windy season, so the weather could go anyway.

But shit, you come from a city where you could be wearing a t-shirt in the morning and a winter coat in the afternoon. Why should a little rain bother you?

Rain? Somehow the view of some posters about the weahther in Bogotá is so negative as the mostly erroneous view on security in Colombia. Like the question It is safe now to travel to Colombia? , just stay home and travel on another life. Some people just don't go out because it is raining.

Weather in Bogotá it is good, now we will have windy season with kids flying kites. I can say that there could be seasons without raining in at leas 15 days in a row, even now it has been about three weeks without rain in Bogotá, only a couple of times and it was at night.

I've always felt that the weather in Bogota is quite unstable. It could be sunny and then it would start chucking it down like nobody's business. I agree with webmanco in as far as it hasn't been raining that much lately, but that doesn't mean it won't start raining everyday next week...So to answer your question I have no idea :P

Yes but it can start raining at any time anywhere on earth!

Bogota's temperatures always range from 48-70F 9-21C ALL YEAR LONG. Very few places are like that.

In parts of Canada it can be 25 in the morning and -5 in the afternoon and then later on that evening you get granizos (that were not in the forecast). :P

Yes! You can be sure to never catch me south of the Mason-Dixon line anytime after April and before November unless I'm paid really serious money to be there! Fortunately this summer I got hired to do a six week contract way out on Cape Cod, the coolest part of the country during the summer!!!

I consider Bogota's weather to be perfect. I love all the clouds and the fog too, I think fog is romantic and beautiful, especially if you don't have to drive through it :)

No kidding. What I meant is that it would be real hot and sunny and 5 minutes later it would be cold and miserable.
I guess my point of view it's gonna be quite different from someone coming from Canada. I lived in Cali most of my life, so the Bogotá weather it's not gonna seem all that great to me.
