way off the wall...corazon sagrado...

i was just sharing with some of the group that during his funeral, one of the cardinals (?) was talking with matt lauer of NBC and explaining that after death, the hearts of many popes are removed and taken to another cathedral in rome.

out of 265 popes, nearly 200 have had their hearts cut out and taken to this other church. is this wierd enough?

when matt lauer enquired if that weren't illegal, the prelate replied, "....not in the vatican." i guess they have their own autonomous legal system.

maybe that's why pope john paul II asked to be buried in the ground, to keep the midnight necromancers from just popping by his crypt and snatching his precious corazon segrado.

i say none of this in jest...rather, disgust. i just find it hard to envision the 'princes' of the church being 'body snatchers' when the lights are out.

has anybody else heard anything about this?

not surprised There are many die-hard rumors about the catholic church leaders hiding practices from the public, as well as hiding critical parts of the bible from the public. Many rumors mention guides to black magic, satanic powers, and how both good and evil are actually one entity - and this knowledge is kept secret from us commoners. One story I heard was that the inquisition actually had the purpose to eliminate anybody with knowledge of the hidden books.

Just last night I watched the History Channel about the various unresolved myths of our times, Easter Island, Loch Ness, Bigfoot, and more. The Secret Books of the Catholic Church belong into this category as well in my view. Maybe, maybe not. But there are certainly some medieval practices happening in the Vatican, just as they are happening elsewhere, like the Illuminate and other secret guilds. Fascinating reading, but that's all it is for me.

dwmte Yes they can do what they want, because it is classed as a City state, there are a lot of dodgy goings on there, so it wouldn't surprise me.
