Want to go back but need help

Hi my name is monica and I am a colombian Native but had reside in the U.S for 5 1/2 years.
I am looking into going back to cali, but i would need a job and do not where to start. I would prefer to teach English to "Primaria" Kids, but could teach adults too.
I do no have a TEFL Certificate, but looking into taking it here or in cali. Does anyone knows how much it cost and how long it takes to finsh in cali?
Also, I have three semesters of College in Crinimal Justice, do not know if that helps.
I' am also a premanent resident so hopefully that won't be a problem to get a job.
Please if anyone can help me on how to start, I would greatly appreciate.
P.S
Any schools that are hiring?

No offence. Really, no offence... however with around 3-6 spelling mistakes in that message already I wouldn't trust you to teach English to children... :-S

Offense/offence. I didn't mean to offend the original poster so I didn't count the mistakes made by quick typing, it was just an observation. I did mean "offence", but even if it would have been wrong, I didn't pretend to have enough aknowledgement of the English language to teach.

I ignore typos now thx 2 ims communications have become so fast and mercyless, no chance to correct much before you hit return or send. Same in chat rooms and forums (or forii?) ... if you try to keep up and need a spellchecker or a proofreader, forget it. I gave up trying to understand the abbreviations used in text messaging with cell phones.

Nevertheless, most English teachers in the USA do not impress me.

Here we go... post at your own risk in this thread. Every word's spelling will be scrutinized. Or is it scrutinised? Skrootenyzed? ;-)

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
