Want Furnished Apartment Cartagena March 2007

Hello Friends,

My wife and I are currently living in Cali. She is from Cali. We are planning to move to Cartagena at end of Feb. or in Mar 2007. We are looking for furnished apartment in Cartagena that we could rent on a month to month basis or maybe for 6 months. In Cali we are paying abt $350 (US Dollars)per month for a furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Will there be anything available in this price range or a little higher in Cartagena?

I think it will be more Higher if your plan is going to the touristic areas to live Bocagrande, Laguito, Manga, or the old city.
i know they are a lot of rentals in the city for the touristc seasson so you can find those now to much more expensive for mading a budget but if you are going in feb the prices will be more cheaper and if you sign a contract maybe they respect the cheaper charges cuz is better to have a continous rental than a seasson rental.

I think you can get about the same price as I am getting for a furnished apt in Cali. I went with my wife to look at apartments and I don´t think prices got raised for me. Here is a place that has furnished apts that are for rent by month, or for 6 months or for year.

Monthly prices are 750000 or 800000 pesos for one bedroom. The bigger one is 800000. One dollar = abt 2250 pesos.

Also on poorbuthappy.com web page there is ad for apts in Cali.

The newspaper here, El Pais, has furnished apartments in classified section. I found our place in El Pais. We are paying $350 per month for 2 bedroom furnished. Owner pays all utilities, which is nice.
