Volunteering in Bello (Medellin) - Part 2

Here are the remainder of the photos. The event took place last Saturday, December 8th. I woke up early and took the metro to the Bello station. From there the buses took everyone up the mountain to the finca. Most of the kids were from the Bello area and are disadvantaged, coming from poorer areas.

A few people have inquired about volunteer work while they are here in Medellin. I will look into more of these opportunities and post information when I come across it. If any members of PBH would like to help me coordinate something similar, I am willing to volunteer more of my time as this has been one of the more rewarding activities I have been a part of since arriving. There is an ongoing need here for this type of work and I have time on my hands to do the groundwork while I am here.

As always these events take money and without financial support, they cannot occur. Any of you PBH members who are interested in showing your financial support, email me and we can start a fund for the next event - I have a few ideas.

I will start the campaign off with $200 of my own money. We need to atleast reach a goal of a few thousand dollars to make this work. We can also keep a running tab of the donations in this thread. I don't think there is enough time to do another XMAS event, but there are other worthy causes and occassions.
