Volunteer work in Medellin??

Suggestions anyone? I will only be there for a week but it would be nice to get involved on some level.

I have been looking for some volunteer work to do in Colombia as well this December and I have contact several institutions, but they have not gotten back to me. I guess they were only interested in money, but I think work and time will be most valuable. Anyhow, if I heard something I will let you know.

If you're looking for a worthwhile way to help out around Medellin, I have an idea. On the outskirts, there are several towns like Pueblo Rico, Tarso, Jerico, Pintada, etc. These areas have an immense amount of people in need (as does parts of Medellin itself), but it at least will give you an interesting side trip from the city. Buy some dry food (rice), canned food and clothing and it will make some family's month!

On the way to work today, I saw a pile of human feces. It would be nice if you could come pick that up, so that I don't have to look at it again on my way to work tomorrow.

Will, is that really necessary?....

You live in Medellin, why don't you give them some insight... Heck if Medellin doesn't need the help, then just say that too... If so they could plan something else....

M .... no need to reply to that, but thanks!

wip, pretty funny, but I think Jim A was serious about helping your country.

By the way, where was that pile of shit and how'd you know it's human?
