Visas Will No Longer be Sent By DOMESA
As of August 1, 2005, the Immigrant Visa Unit will no longer be using the DOMESA courier service for visa delivery. Instead, once a visa is approved, the beneficiary will receive it personally at the Consular Section, on the next working day after the interview, at 4:00PM. The benefiary may assign a representative to pick up the visa with a notarized letter of authorization.

utopiacowboy says on Jul 12, 2005, 21:19: Unbelieveable. They went back to the system they had in place before they got this brilliant idea to make you wait a week to 10 days for Domesa. We were among the last people to be able to come back the next day for the visas before they started this Domesa thing. Now if they'd just wake up and stop using the postal system to mail the packets out.
