PBH / colombia (travelguide, pictures) / post |
I'd like to know if anyone is presently using TELEFONO ROJO in Colombia. If not - here's the link, let me know what you think. I'm actually looking for a good option to keep in touch primarily with my dad who is in Cali. Gracias.

RoyM says on Jul 25, 2007, 10:02: I use Skype. Call US for 2 cents, Medellin, Bogota, Barranquilla for 9 cents unless the other party is also Skype user...... then call is free (I like free!!)

honey says on Jul 25, 2007, 10:16: Hey RoyM...I like free too, lol! The thing is that my dad is not a pc kind of guy. I like that the number that telefonorojo supplies is for incoming and outgoing calls and I haven't found anything else that offers the same, at least not yet. Does anyone know of a similar service out there? Life is what happens when you're busy making plans - John Lennon. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Frank Rizzo says on Jul 29, 2007, 12:18: Skype too allows you to take your account and pay something like $40 per year and you get a USA phone number....with that USA number you get unlimited calls IN (only)....

honey says on Jul 29, 2007, 21:31: Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, that's exactly what I was looking for Frank. Right now my dad is looking into the whole "banda ancha" thing. Turns out my aunt has had "telefono rojo" for a while in Cali and she says it's great. I really hope that long range set up works out for you. Please, keep me posted...and thanks again...Rubito - did you check out the site? Life is what happens when you're busy making plans - John Lennon. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
