VINACURE - A CLUB WORTH VISITING IN MEDELLIN

So, for all of you PBH posters and occasional visitors, here´s my little impression of a place that´s definitely worth a visit if you´re in Medellin.

The place is called Vinacure, it´s a Club located in Caldas (see "how to get there" below). Now, this place is really something I´ve never seen anywhere else in Colombia. How could I describe it? it´s part circus, part disco, part bar, part museum/gallery. You could spend an hour just identifying and looking at all the images, statues, mannequins, etc. on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. There are small rooms with all types of kitsch artifacts, photos, statues, etc. There are small photo galleries, the "erotic room", even the bathrooms are worth a visit, the women´s bathroom being much more interesting than the men´s bathroom.

The have shows on saturdays around 11 pm (entrance fee: 10K pesos). You can sit and enjoy looking at other people or dance on the small stage/dance floor.

How to get there:
Vinacure is located in an old house in the town of Caldas, south of Medellin. The house is on the right side of the road, it´s an area called "Tablaza". It´s a long ride from Medellin and since you´ll be there after 10 pm I suggest that you go there with a colombian so you don´t get lost easily or take a taxi, now, if you take a taxi, say, from El Poblado, the ride would set you back about 20K pesos, so I suggest that you take the Metro to the last station (south), Itagüi station and then take a taxi from there, tell the driver to take you to Vinacure, in Caldas.
In Spanish: "Por favor lleveme a Vinacure en Caldas, por la Tablaza".

Vinacure vs. Mangoes Mangoes has the most silicone and post-operated women, but they are hot. Starting to get bored with the same weekly show and western theme. The special parties every couple of months are still awesome.

Vinacure is definitely the most excentric and thought out club in the Medellin area. It´s just far but worth the trip. The erotic room is very Amsterdam-ish.

Don´t forget to try the partying out in Envigado and Sabaneta. They party hard out there.

Too many clubs, not enough nights??? Seems like this is turning out like my hotel "problem". Too many great places. Have been looking up the places with a search on the site. I see that the Sabaneta area has the "La Majoria" restaurant. That is a place that even I have heard of and want to try.
Have decided to divorce my esposas so think I will start partying my first night in Medellin. "mangos or Mangoes" looks like a great start. Then perhaps Envigado area for thursday. La Majoria and Sabaneta area for friday and Vinacure for saturday so I can see the show.
Now I can think about the day time adventures.
