Villavicencio

Hey went to this little town by bus over the long weekend and was great. Small (ish) town with lots of rolos there for the W/E. Have an AWSOME disco there outside of town called Capachos (sp) which was unreal (could do with less teenboppers however). 5 different areas.

Also had a Mr Babillas. Good w/e trip away for those interested.

wow ok, really liked it, except went there to get away from bogota weather and coped rain everyday there as well.

Mr babillas is in the bunch of disco that you can walk to from Unicentro. Has the same theme. i asked the owner if he was the one who owned them in Cart and the old one in Bogota, but he said they were seperate.

The zoo was pretty cool as well.

Hey bickerss. Glad you enjoyed Villavo. I ask that you please refrain from spouting off how nice it is there though. I don't want the secret to get out. jajajaja I lived there last year for several months. My wife's family lives there. I never made it to Capacho's though. I did the Kuarzo thing, as well as most of the little clubs in the zona rosa, barrio 7 de Agosto area, of Villavo. It is a blast. My personal favorite was / is Aguapinelas on Wednesday nights. It is hotter than crap, loud, packed, and so much fun. Aguapinelas is between the Llano Centro and Unicentro malls - same street. Anyway, glad you had a great time. I love Villavo so much, I will probably move there within the next 2 years.

Thanks Robert. I will check out those places when I go back. Didnt see any other foreigners in my whole time there (5 days) so I spose it is off the gringo trail.

I was there several months. I saw 2 gringo spooks the whole time I was there. ("spooks" meaning military types) My last night out, we ran into a bunch of blancos. My wife said they were Americans. I told her, no way, they have to be European, northern. Sure enough, they were from Norway. We ended up talking a bit at the club we were in. But, point being, there are not really any gringos in that town to speak of. Villavo is just far enough away from Bogota to not have accidental gringo tourists, but just close enough to be convenient to Bogota.
