My wife and I just came back from another trip to our home away from home, Colombia. Every year we check out a new place and this year we decided to go to Via de Leyva. I found it touristy, but from the standpoint of photography it was a dream come true. The light there is truly amazing.
We got up early enough so that we had the town pretty much to ourselves and I could explore the entire pueblito with no trouble.
We stayed at a hotel that is right outside of town that was just unbelievably beautiful. I can't remember the name, but it was built by a Spanish architect in the late 16 or 17 century. It's one of the most incredible places I've stayed in Colombia and was worth every penny.
Via de Leyva is not a big place. We stayed there one full day and night and that gave us plenty of time to check out the town. These are some of the images I took when I was there.
