veracruz mexico a beautiful place to vacation

i know this doesn,t have any thing to do with colombia but i just took a big vacation to mexico and my last stop was in veracruz on the east coast or gulf coast of mexico this place was so unique that i fell in love with it fast it,s nothing like what you would expect to see in mexico it,s so diffrent here it has more in common with new orleans baranquilla or havana then with the rest of mexico for one this place has a carribean atmosphere most of the people speak a spanish wich they call costeno that sounds sort of like something you would here in cuba the food is really diffrent they eat platano frito tostones mariscos empanadas and some kind of enchilada wich uses black bean suace instead of red or green chile don,t remember what it,s name is the music you hear is mostly salsa and reggaeton, and also calipso soca and reggae and punta from honduras and belize the local music is just as great if you go top los portales in downtown veracruz you will hear the son jarocho wich is like the llanero but with a afro cuban touch and the danzon wich is heard every night also marimba bands and small salsa bands call conjuntos tropicales i didn,t hear one corrido or banda. most of the people here are mix with african indian and spanish blood thats because the spanierds brought a lot of africans slaves to veracruz and veracruz and guerrero is where you,ll find black mexicans. most of the older man were guayaberas and straw hats and smoke cigars and play dominos i,m not lying and they have 2 big festivals here in july the afro carribean festival and the carnaval de veracruz in febuary. this place was the best i highly recommened it they say cancun is better mayby it is but if you want somthing more authentic go to veracruz . ps it,s a real tourist freindly place i seen people from south america and europe vacationing there the beaches are great i recommened the beaches at boca del rio el aquario is fun and san juan de ulloa is a good place and the navy museuam and el museo de la ciudad is great 2 so check it out when you go to mexico because i really enjoyed veracruz
