Venezuelan transit visa

Just a quick question which I am almost sure I know the answer to....

Do Colombians need a visit for in transit through Venezuela?

Thanks

I don't know about Colombians, but I am gringo and was able to transit Caracas on a trip from San Juan (PR) to Lima, in 2005, without a visa. But to step outside the airport, $45US.

When entering Venezuela by car or walking yes. When entering through an airport no.

Glad you mentioned that sloop, I was going to ask as I have no desires to enter through the US...Believe the same holds true today?

lampltr, my pleasure, but I really have no idea if that is still true, but I would supect that it is.

But I paid an extra $100 and spent more hours in the air to return to San Juan via Miami and avoid Caracas.

I had planned to spend a few days on Margarita since my return flight from Lima arrived one minute after the departure time of the Puerto Rican flight. But, I was unable to solidify arrangements with the Venezuelan feeder and hoteles, and the 5 hours I spent in the aiport were frustrating. That was not only because I damned near froze.

They provided no designated counter for LAN Perú and I was only able to check in when they arrived at an unmarked area, about an hour before the flight.

Interesting thanks....Flights from Europe directly to Colombia are getting more frequent now so makes life a bit easier....appreaciate all!

and you can also come via Panamá, if that makes any sense. It is only 50 minutes to Cartagena, and I think not too much more to Medellin, Cali, or Bogotá.

KLM is resuming a direct from Amsterdam.
