Vaccination records lost for K-1 interview

My K-1 application is on the way to the embassy in Bogota and my fiance has looked every where for her vaccination records but cannot find them. She then checked the public records in her city in Manizales but they explained since it's 30 years they no longer have them. Now what? Does she get all new shots? I think she should consult a doctor to see what he may advise. I hate like heck going to Bogota only to get rejected over lost shot proof. any ideas?

Thanks

It depends. If you are an adult, you don't need some of the shots. For others, yes, she will just have to get them again. Cheaper to do it with her own health care provider ahead of time.

It Is My Understanding,... because she is requesting a K-1 visa, she will need proof of the following but NOT until she reaches the United States and you/she file for AOS. Remember, the K-1 visa is NOT an immigrant visa and only applicants for immigrant visas are required to have the following if appropriate for age, medical condition or medical history:

Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids
Pertussis
Influenza type B
Hepatitis B
Varicella
Pneumococcal

But, since you will need them for AOS I would suggest you consult with a physician in Colombia and get the required vaccinations so they will be done and will cheaper than obtaining them in the USA. If there is any medical reason she cannot have certain vaccinations be sure and have the doctor fully document that fact.

Unfortunately I have not had time to confer with my esteemed colleague Utopiacowboy, but I believe this is correct. If not please comment.

In my circumstance... or my wife's to be more precise, they allowed her to defer them until she was in the U.S. This enabled us do have them done under my insurance plan and thus cost nothing. She entered on a K-3.

It depends on her group of age If she is between 18 to 64 (I think that is it), I assume she is in that group... she just needs the following 3:

1) Tetanos Diphteria
2) Varicela (chicken pox)
3) Triple something (measles-mumps-rubella)

She can get thenm in a red cross, centro de salud or "caja de compensacion familiar"

Good luck and saludos!
