ColombianoGringo (Moderator) says on Jun 4, 2009, 12:10: The three apartments they have listed in Northern Bogota are between $75 and $92 a day. Those are some pretty high prices. ColombianoGringo (Moderator) says on Jun 4, 2009, 12:38: I was talking about their nightly rates. They aren't outrageous, but I rent nice apartments in Santa Barbara through a similar traveller friendly agency for a lot less. 90.000 a night for a one bedroom with similar amenities. ColombianoGringo (Moderator) says on Jun 5, 2009, 08:06: I wouldn't deal with a private landlord. I use an agency that I've mentioned many times on the site. The apartments are nice and their service is excellent. We have used them many times. They never break a reservation and don't charge a deposit. I don't even pay until the morning after I check in. A nice young lady comes by, does a quick inventory and a little paperwork and collects payment. Caro_Bogota28 says on Jun 26, 2009, 16:05: Hey you guys! Well thank you for the feedback about the website, is always great to know what you have to say, I know what apartments have you guys talk about, some of them I like, some of them are very uncomfortable because the noise being right there in the avenue, I give different options, there are not COP$90.000 anymore, you can double check with them, but I am just saying with me you have more options, more areas, Park 93, Zona rosa, it gives you more choices, I used not to ask for deposit, now, not matter how long you stay I just ask for 1 night deposit given the fact that some people even made me go to the airport on sunday at 6 am, to find out they were never coming, so I guess is better for everyone to be certain of the service. Anyway Thanks for the feedback, any questions, just contact me! I have been here for a while and finally my website with my services is done, I hope you guys check it out and give me a feedbak! bogotainsider.com 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Camila.Parra says on Jul 4, 2009, 16:58: You are doing something that's is illegal in Colombia. Deposits for lease agreements are prohibited in Colombia by laws. The law also forbids landlords from requesting liens to secure payment of tenant’s contractual obligations, by Law 820 of 2003, L.546/Dec. 23 of 1999, Law 56 of 1985, articles 1974 and following of the Colombian Civil Code.
