Necessary to make sure I don't miss the early flight out of Cali. Other than that, no, I have not bothered to use it. Why bother? tomtom33 says on Jul 7, 2005, 17:00: There are many vendors on the street who rent cell phones by the call. The phones are so cheap that you may as well just buy one if you want to receive calls. I bought one in April from ComCel for 80K pesos(around US$34) and got 100K in free minutes.

Peter Miami says on Jul 7, 2005, 18:53: I use both AT&T and Cingular and they both work in Colombia. If you get the international package which is $3.99 a month, roaming in Colombia is $2.29 a minute. They work on the GSM/GPRS 850/1800 900/1900 all of these work in Colombia and most countries in Central and South America. The wireless phone you have must be a international wireless ready phone.

santiBOG says on Jul 8, 2005, 09:28: Not worth it to use roaming I've found it way too expensive at over $2 a minute, specially when you are paying for airtime (as opposed to paying for only outbound calls).
