also remember to try craigslist...bogota and cali seem to use it more..as there were used refrigs listed there. Nothing on Medellin today, you can set your search via rss feed and see anything that comes up.

I suggest checking the prices in El Hueco as the shops down there carry low to mid-range appliances. I suggest a Haceb as they are made here.

We've bought used friges in the past from the compra-ventas (pawn shops) by the Flamingo near Estacion San Antonio. Was about 200 or 300k for a medium sized fridge - and they even bought it back from us when we moved. Also under the metro tracks on the East side of the street between Estacion Parque Berrio and Estacion Hospital, more towards Estacion Hospital there're some appliance repair shops that sell cheap fridges at even better prices.
