Cerealkiller says on Jul 21, 2008, 15:45: Robi I think its very worrying. I've always thought the one negative thing about the past few years has been that profound polarization taking over all sectors of society. Howcome we march against only one of the multiple illegal actors instead of all of them? Is there a hidden agenda? What the hell is going on? Last Feb, I was very much involved with the Colombiasoyyo initiative, and eventhough I know for a fact that they have worked hard to stay away from the government, there is still something that doesn't quite cut it...If you ask why just the FARC when stats show FARC perpetrated violence isdoes not constitute the main source of violence, you will get a very diplomatic answer "well, its specific, we don't want to dilute the message. Maybe later we can address x, y and z" Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives -John Stuart Mill 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

SUERTE GRINGO says on Jul 21, 2008, 15:56: Uribe worshippers will not put up with this blatant attack on their savior. Less we forget, it's Colombia with it's history of violence which is really nothing new to report. Farc not dead yet, the new breed of paramilitaries have been busy asssasinating the old guard for their imminent takeover, add to that the increase in murders across Colombia these past few months. Peace in Colombia is but a dream unless every group is held accountable for their actions and prosecuted for all their crimes.
