He seems to think that if he wipes the guerrillas out then all will be well in locombia. So after the guerillas are wiped out will that feed the 40% of people in Colombia that are poor.
He is embarking on a very middle class desire. Of course the majority of Colombians support this action but how will Colombia develop after the guerrillas. No country in South America has guerrillas and they all have bad economies. I think COlombian people believe that some thing special will happen when there are no guerrillas. IF one day that is true then they will realise that behind that is a hollow victory as the people of Colombia will be even poorer having to pay a huge military debt to the USA. If you are reading this Uribe you must understand that you have to work on all the problems of Colombia at the same time.

platano says on Dec 1, 2005, 09:09: Kerry, Now I am even more confused than usual. You use the word "locombia"... Others have used the word "chibchombia"... What is the correct term to describe the beloved country Colombia?

el norteño says on Dec 1, 2005, 15:31: Colombia sin Farc The idea is that once the bandit groups are destroyed then the country will enjoy the free flow of goods and services. Also, the military budget can be redirected to developing the infrastructure of the country.
