Updated the rules

Hey all,
I've updated the rules slightly. http://poorbuthappy.com/colombia/post/the-rules1/

What's new: you can't have multiple handles, and no talk allowed at all about commercial love providers (ie. where to meet girls, prepagos, ...) or anything like that. I also tried to clarify a few things in the new rules, let me know if you have any questions.

Meanwhile I've been working on a new version of the site, it's got a few new features, I hope to launch it this week.

Cheers!

Nice question, jaja. Libel and Slander can be a bit subjective. May need to be more specific - possibly if you are able to prove that the persons slanderous remarks caused you personal or financial damage?

Private Messages...Yeah. I wish.....Good thoughts Webman.

Peter (Moderator) says on May 6, 08:19:

Kalder: yes. I have nothing against prostitution, but academic discussions will inevitably devolve on the site as things are right now, so they're not allowed. At least that rule is easy to remember :)

Poor but snappy

Desideria (Moderator) says on May 6, 09:58:

I don't think Peter needs to provide a link for sex tourists who stray on this site either; it's enough that we make it clear that this one isn't one of them.

Kalder, if you want to talk about that go to the "opinions" section of internationalsexguide.info ... plenty of great posts there! You will even find dead honest in-your-face info from REAL working girls.

To be honest, a lot of us don't put out the absolute best info anymore on that or any other site because there are too many idiots that screw things up in every conceivable way.

That link I sent you do is where all the academic discussions take place, so they don't clutter up the threads that are supposed to be for reports and photos. I actually find it the most fascinating part of the site.

Yeah Tinto and you guys could learn a lot from how that forum is run. Ad hominem attacks are IMMEDIATELY deleted on there. Hell, unless you're a senior member you won't get a chance to make one as posts are moderated BEFORE they appear.

Go to the opinions section and watch as the scales fall off your eyes, especially the "Morality Of Prostitution" section. You will hear REAL stories from REAL prostitutes instead of mushy sentimental fantasy like you hear on here, or deliberately skewed "facts" like you hear on the news.

aztec says on May 6, 12:45:

As I have said freedom of expression is in the eye of the beholder. Controversy begins when someone takes it upon themselves to be the arbiter of morality.

A prime example are the two girls just posted here. From all indications they are normal "nice" young women from Colombia. Someone has already jumped to the conclusion they are prostitutes. It wouldn't take much change in the dynamics of the photo to cross the line. But therein lies the rub. Who decides where the line is drawn.

Once one begins to intercede that becomes a full time job.

kat1 (Moderator) says on May 6, 12:46:

the thing is those legs are too fat for that kind of clothes, that's why they look cheap,

Desideria (Moderator) says on May 6, 12:48:

If you posted a picture of your mother, wife, girlfriend or daughter (with clothes on) and with her permission then I'd say fine. Posting pin-ups just for the sake of it has nothing to do with this forum.

kat1, they don't appeal to me either but isn't that irrelevant?

aztec says on May 6, 12:55:

In fact I will go a little further. The photo makes me a little uncomfortable. They look too young and we don't want to be involved in the exploitation of young women.

kat1 (Moderator) says on May 6, 13:00:

aztec, someone who is not Colombian and come to this site first time and there talk about Colombian women and which one is better and so and so and see this picture will think Colombia as sexual destination, even if the girls are not prostis, and i agree aztec they do look very young even more to be more concern for some people not to get the wrong idea.

We should recognize many people already believe some of the most beautiful women in the world live in Colombia. We can't change that perception nor should we try.

We can however, do our part to convince the curious that women are basically the same everywhere. We should at least attempt to disabuse men in particular of the notion that young girls in Colombia are fair game for exploitation.

In 1967, Leibovitz enrolled at the San Francisco Art Institute, where (although initially studying painting) she developed a love for photography.
Name a few celebrities or artists. Annie Leibovitz has probably photographed them. Her brand new book presents one hundred seventy intimate portraits of women: teachers, soldiers, astronauts, miners, athletes, artists, executives, politicians, mothers, daughters - women. For the variety of lifestyles those pictures represent and the range of expression they capture, it likely will be remembered as the definitive photographic record of women at the turn of the century.

And..Robi...........I heard a story yesterday, of a sex tourist from Canada being shot after leaving one of those brothels, down the street from me in Laureles. It's just off the corner on 76 and 33 Av. I saw the blood stains on the pavement this morning. One guy told me that the Canadian is dead, another said he is badly injured and in hospital. Apparently, his only "crime" was, being in this place. No other incidents with anybody, no robbery, no nothing.
