Units Of Measurement

Love this website...So much friendly info...I have a question..I am thinking about buying some property in Colombia...(Finca)..I would like to know the size of a "CUADRA"..I know a hectare is about 2 1/2 acreas..If anyone can help me, I would appreciate the info..thanks..

Now, a "cuadra" as far as I know is not in the MKS units sistems, but here people use "cuadra" to name what you call "block" (it is the most commun translation I have heard). "Cuadra" is a 100 metters long line, or a square of 100 metters per side (100m^2)
