I doubt that much will change. The "War on Drugs" is over 30 years old and has survived politicians of all stripes in the White House and in the US Congress. So between inertia, vested interests and enough "successes" (or at least not too many new crises, except for Mexico) I think it'll keep on, keepin' on.
