uk visa refusal..what can i do to help?

so after my girlfriend payed for her course to learn english for six months (as this helps to get a visa apparently), got all the paper work ready.. she got refused her visa for some reason, but i dont know why? she has sufficient finachial backing from her family, good education, and generally a good situation at home. but for some reason her visa got refussed, it was only for a years student visa too. not like she was applying for residence or anything

so basically i (british citizen) am in bogota at the moment, what can i do to help her get her visa in the apeal (if we are liable for an appeal).. would an invitation help? she wil be living with me for the entire year, she has enough money to supòrt herself, but she will also be working.. i dont know why they would refuse her visa...

basically i want to know what can i do to help her get her visa??

p.s marriage is not an option..!
