Absolutely FALSE! Colombian women will not search other countries for a man. They will simply put an ad in an online service or join a marriage agency and wait for the men to come to them.

The real question is are american men so disgusted with their american prospects that they'll travel thousands of miles and spend thousands of dollars to find a foreign wife?

Dwmte you're totally right. First of all I highly doubt colombian women have a weakness for foreign men, and then I dont think Colombian men are too macho either. I have met extremely nice and not-macho-at-all colombian men, and as a girl I don't think nationality matters...as long as the girl is not a dollar digger...In my case, I swore Id never date any gringos...that has always been a no-no on my book, I didnt do it in high school, on holidays or any of the sort...But somehow, I ended up with a pasty white assed gringo and have never in my life dated a Colombian or any latin american guy for that matter. captian.. it doesn't matter if it's true or not, and while your "gringo" exotic factor plays a role in attracting women. If you don't rock their world, they'll still drop your ass! So believe all you want that COL guys are bad, but if YOU'RE not treating them(women) right, then it doesn't matter does it??

One example of machista that an amiga gave me was this...COL men will go out partying on SAT with their buddies and tell their wives/gf to stay home and watch the kids.

Another amiga(fr a upper class family spent 6 months in monterrey for school) compare COL men to MEX men. She said that MEX men expect the women to quit working after getting married. While COL men only expect the women to quit working AFTER having the babies. I laughed an told her that US men expect their wives/gf to RETURN to work after having babies..BECAUSE it's too damm expensive to raise children in the US on one income!

So a asked a couple what they mean by macho man and they both said a man who hits or beats a woman. I have only met a couple women in my life time that actually liked getting hit.

Im a semi Pick Up Artist And part of playing the 'game' is understanding what a women 'wants.'
A woman wants a 'strong' man, a man that can lead her, guide her, etc. No women wants a whimpy man, but too many guys equate 'being a gentleman, being nice, etc' as being a wimp. False. Therefore, I must be an ass/tough/jerky to get the chick. That is totally false.

Part of the reason why men may 'seem machismo' in Colombia, like Cali or whatever is because of several factors. One is due to the female-male ratio..meaning, more girls for the boys which automatically gets in their favor. Another is lack of feminist/gay men/PC society influence which dominates the American culture which triggers both guys and girls (guys are getting less masculine, girls are getting less feminine)

Yes, there will be cases of domestic violence which Im totally against. Overall though, from the many guys Ive met, they are actually good guys. Also, Ive met many guys that are not 'machismo' so one starts to wonder if this is just another stereotype..

like..

Colombians are involved in Trafficking Narcs..
Americans=rich

Im a nice guy with little coin and grabbed me a nice caliena with a gymnast tight bod and great personality to boot...Im not machismo, I dont impress with buying fancy dinners or $$$.

No peepster I'm not pro prostitution like you. I would never degrade a woman by buying her or hitting her.

I don't know it could all be bullshit. But two women that I knew pretty well told me that they liked to be smacked around. One of them I was intimate with. She always wanted me to choke her while we were having sex. I tried it a few times but I couldn't deal with it so I dumped her.

Trust me there is nothing worst than trying to choke a woman with out hurting her while you are having sex. It ruins the moment.

Hey to break it to you Chocho Never had to buy a woman or choke one.

But you've seem to have at least accomplished 1 out of 2.

Nonetheless, I do find it weird for women to want to be beaten. But I think that has more to do with the way they were brought up and if they were molested or abused. It's a vicous cycle.

now i must confess guilt and take responsibility for smacking a gal in my life...i forthwith apologize to God, women and the world. and again, it did not generate a 'thank you'.

no one likes to be hit. i don't give a shit if their into some kind of kinky crap...just ask anybody, man or woman if they'ld like you to smack em in the face. enough about that.

I don't think any woman actually likes to be ABUSED. You can like to be hit during sex but that doesn't mean you want to get the shit beat out of your because you went to the corner store without permission! Those are two separate things!

I really don't think that Colombia has a monopoly on abused women. Statistics are pretty hard to come by on those things though. In Japan, for example, how many of those women are EVER gonna admit it if their SO hits them?

Just last week my violent young cachaca wife broke her 70 dollar lamp on my head. I had to run outta the apartment in my underwear to keep from getting killed.

"so according to what everyone is saying there are no laws or safeguards for women in colombia if men want to be pigs to them???but this does not mean all men are this way..."

Captain America while you do mean well you are already holding some prejudices with some said assumptions.

Stop it.

About a month ago a woman attacked me with a pot carrying flower, some dishes and some other things. It all started because I told a beautiful woman just that...that she is beautiful and wondered if she was the adventereous type. Told her was going to call her later that night and tell her my intuition about her...

The women who attacked me was a jealous friend of hers who happenned to come out of a bad relationship and took her crap out on me.

In the past few years, Ive approached hundreds and hundreds of women (approached, not slept or gone out with..just approach) and out of all those hundred approaches, only ONE was a crazy experience. Quite funny actually.

Did I overreact and let my emotions out of control?
No.

In my so called life as 'pickup artist' (lol), I look at myself as Indiana Jones. Cool, relaxed...at ease and hopefully with some sense of humor..and of course, always looking for the new adventure ahead.

That was an 'american woman' btw, right here in Vegas. This was at a huge huge birthday party in ballroom hall.

Am I scared and look with all of my disgust at American woman because of that? No.

Anyway CaptainAmerica, hope you will get the answers you need since this thread might break the '100' range, because what you might need is not answers (yes, plural). What you might need is an 'answer', and if you search inside you just might find that. Seriously.

From your definition, it seems like any women would want a "macho" man yet, you only have to go to amigos.com or other latin matching sites to find women that say "please no macho man". I think that it is used as kind of slang for "machista".

Plate says on Nov 19, 2005, 07:54:

Captain America, if the truth was nothing but a puzzle then everyone would be in a mass hysteria of manic confusion.

I DO get what you are saying. Basically, you want to FIND the truth to your questions. Nothing wrong with that. But what you are doing is not searching for the truth, but also trying to find answers of what you want to hear.

Like this for example..
"so according to what everyone is saying there are no laws or safeguards for women in colombia if men want to be pigs to them???"

I mean, that speaks for itself there CaptainAmerica. You still have this implication that men are very well possibly pigs and wanted to know if there is any protection (you are assuming strongly that men could be pigs to them and your question is just how protection is. See where I am going). To sum it up, attaching a bit of negative bias in what 'appears' to be a neutral question is usually not best.

Its like me saying.."Should I hire bodyguards when I walk around in the higher class areas of Colombia since probably many of them have attachments to narcs?"

To answer your other "Q"

"plate... if you aproach a stranger, someone you do not know, how are you going to know how they react?..you dont so why does it suprise you that this happened?"

The thing is, I really dont care how they react. That is the answer right there. My job is to bring them into my world and allow themselves to react 'positively' if they so choose to. Im there to show them the light, its their choice if they choose to follow it.

Ive been with girls that most guys would classify 'as rejection'. And what usually happens is nothing but good ol 'passion.

The girl I picked up in the gym here in the link below had the appearance of a bitchy-cold face. All the men in the gym were too scared to approach because they thought that they would automatically be rejected for her beauty and by her bodylanguage.

I had the balls to find out (since I like to move about this world without negative preconceived notions) that wasnt the case. She turned out to be a wonderful person.

http://www.casadelacerveza.com.co/imagesRumba/AniversarioSabado/photos/photo30.jpg

But due to my experience, my intuition, my knowledge of some the basic science behind this, etc...I certainly know better not to just go by first 'reactions.'

CaptainAmerica, I really wish you the best but Im just helping you see things from a different perspective, and sometimes it takes an outside source to help find that. Best of luck

CaptainAmerica said
"ok well are there any laws or do women have the same protective rights as they do up here in the states? if you answer yes what are they if you answer no well?????"

First it might help if you cut down the number of question marks. You have five question marks in the last question, if you can trim it down to at least three that might be helpful. Two would be jolly.

To your questions? I dont know. I didnt come in here to state what the laws of this or that are.

"Also if you dont care how women react to you why did you even bring it up as an example???"

I brought up THAT example (the pot flower throwing case) to make an 'analogy' of what I was trying to say to you from the begginning.
Big difference there. So that we are in the same page, I dont care how woman 'react' initially--moreso if its coming from a negative frame of mind.

"and finally if I was one sided I would not be on here asking these questions right?"

You can come here from all sides and ask questions here simply because you can. People ask questions to get an answer. When they get plenty of answers and they still hold their negative stereotypes, then why post the question in the first place? hmmm..

"Im not saying colombian men are pigs, but maybe a climate exists for this to happen more so than up here."

Sigh.

Seriously, I have actually seen one pasty, leaving Cali with a very nubile wife, I s'ppose. They were having very extremely hard time at the customs and immigration at Cali airport. Felt sorry for them. I'm pretty sure they missed the flight too. They were made to unpack everything; they checked every little item in her make-up case, they srewed up all her little jars of mermelada, made her spread out all her lingerie ...it was totally painful to look at.
