Trolls

PBH is like the wild west... and that's mostly a good thing. However, when it comes to business and people advertising jobs, etc (which is clearly useful for the PBH community) its far too easy for trolls or overly negative people to ruin someone's post.

Maybe we need a 'business' section that only permits comments from users with a certian number of posts? Or maybe users here need a karma rating... so you can quickly identify a nutter or overly disliked person who should not be trusted.

I say this because I know for a fact that some reasonably big companies in Colombia have engaged in troll activity... sad but true.

Not really. You look like a shill trying to defend the occassional rip-off artists who try to use this forum to drum up some new suckers.

Word of mouth rules. I'll be the first to recommend - vociferously - anybody who can honor his word, give value for money, and offer a fair deal.

If you're having problems with people's responses to your business model, you could try to sensor their comments... or - and I know this is a revolutionary concept - you could try to make sure that your customers are happy.

Or maybe you can get Peter or the mods to make some special rules for you.

What are the odds?

Your post is a tedious, homogenized, chameleon-esque scribble which amounts to nothing more than the demented cacophonous racket of a drugged lunatic banging loudly on kitchen pots and pans. Dullard, do yourself and everyone else a favor: disconnect your computer from the Internet.

If your brain matter was axle grease, there wouldn't be enough in your head to grease the dynamo on a lightening bug's ass. It's truly amazing the way you never let an idea interrupt the flow of your typing, but then, making sense isn't your area of expertise, is it? Reading your post makes blindness a wonderful thing to look forward to. Oh well, as the late Douglas Adams said: "You live and learn. At any rate, you live." Clearly, you have lost your fingertip grip on reality and have descended into an abyss of irreversible lunacy.

Generally, there is nothing wrong with having nothing worthwhile to say - unless you insist on saying it. Anyway, who was talking to you or even taking you under consideration?
In conclusion, thank you. We were all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view. Now get the hell out of here!

As long as people can post a product or service offering for free, we're going to have to wade through some of this muck - the hidden identities, the people that take advantage of Peter's generosity by posting the same thing numerous times, and the electronics wholesalers that periodically spam the site. Maybe someday Peter will have a 'sponsors' section but I don't think it's a priority for him right now.

This whole thing started from a guy named manny bitching all over the place about how Berlitz pays their teachers poorly. As if it was news teachers are paid poorly in Colombia.

He decided usher and others here were part of some conspiracy to scam ESL teachers, simply because usher commented in his post.

Oh, and calikitty, get a life! Usher's post is more productive than your vacuous attempt at belittling him!

LOL..."Don't Visit Colombia if...".

-If you have no interest in Colombia's culture
- If you just want a warm and cheap place to spend winter
- If you just want to lay around in a hammock and do nothing
- If your idea of speaking Spanish is saying "si" in a patronzing tone
- If you have a Rush Limbaugh perspective on the world
- If you feel culturally superior and like to look down your nose at other cultures
- If you have no tolerance for the eccentricities of other cultures, i.e. Colombians love to talk!
- If you are homophobic, racist and sexist
- If you are cheap
- If you are cheap
- Repeat, if you are cheap
- If you want to take advantage of the genorosity of others
- If your vocabulary doesn't include the words "thank you"
- If you prefer to mock a culture rather than learn about it

Rob77, I did not see the word "Berlitz" mentioned in this post nor the use of the word by Manny.

"He decided usher and others here were part of some conspiracy to scam ESL teachers, simply because usher commented in his post."

Again, rereading all of these posts there is no support for your argument and as to the comment"Oh, and calikitty, get a life! Usher's post is more productive than your vacuous attempt at belittling him!" It would appear you post belittling him/her is not different.

Support? Please Gator, you're grasping at air here! Usher posted with a point to make. Calikitty is just being an annoying a-hole. His attack was unwarranted and baseless.

usher127 says on Nov 20, 2007, 09:26:

Gator... allow me to clear this up... Manny attacked another post by an English company trying to recruit teachers. He then created a new post for himself criticising this company again. After I questioned his motive (he has no profile), he posted 'Usher127: Definitely you are part of the scam!!!' maybe 3 or 4 times in seperate posts.

That is why I created this Troll post, because he is obviously a troll or just a complete twat. Anyway, it seems like no-one cares... and as for calikitty1, yes you also talk shit, but at least it was entertaining, its been 24 hours since your last post, I guess you are still looking words up in the thesaurus for the next one...
