Danubio is a small cacerio located about 4 hours from Cali, it's next to the "reserva alto de anchicaya" , at the side of what is known as the old road to Buenaventura. This place is full of rivers and you can see water coming from almost every part of the mountains. There is a "Batallon de alta montaña" and army soldiers patrol the area every day so we felt safer, this zone was not very safe a few years ago.

bopenyan (☼Travelguide writer) says on Apr 15, 2009, 10:50: Great pics. How did you get there? Did you drive there or take a bus. If you took a bus, can you give me an idea of how frequently they leave Cali or Dagua (cause I know there are buses to Dagua/Buenaventura every few minutes). I take it this was a day trip or did you find a finca or hospedaje to stay at?

tannedincali (☼Travelguide writer) says on Apr 15, 2009, 11:35: We took a bus (transur), most part of the road is not paved so unless you have a truck I'd not suggest you to take your car there, I don't know how often the buses depart but I think only 2 or 3 buses go through that road ( old road to Buenaventura) per day, also the bus was very crowded in our trip back home, I think because of semana santa there were no seats so unfortunately we had to stand for 4 hours :( . We set our tents in front a small ranch for 10000 pesos per night, but there is a small "hotel" where you can get a room for 25.000 pesos per night.
