Traveling to Medellin in October with Brother-in-Law. Seek lodging.

My brother-in-law, an exceptionally nice guy who lives in Bogota along with the rest of my wife's family, has never had a real vacation. Since my wife and I are visiting in October, we thought it would be nice for him and I to go on a short road trip to Medellin and show him a good time.

We are going to be arriving to Medellin on October 12 and leaving the 16th. Am looking for a place to stay. I'm a pretty straight arrow guy. Clean, responsible; not a party boy. Hablo los dos idiomas mas or menos bien. No soy un tipico turistico que no sabe lo que esta pasando. We intend to have a good time over there, but nothing we couldn't tell our wives. Don't have much of a budget, but have enough where a hostel would be a last resort.

If anybody has a place we could shack out, that's safe, and fairly close to the main areas of interest, please let us know. It would be fun to hang out and make some new friends in the process.

I will be in Medellin for a few days in August(1st thru 6th) with another buddy of mine. We are interested in oth rooms. How much would it be to stay for this brief period if the rooms are available?
