Traveling to DC with my 4 month old Puppy

Hi! Has anybody traveled with a Mascot to the US recently? (in the last 3 months or so). I would like to know any information you can share with me as I dont want any hassles, I think I have all my pup's papers in order. Thanks!

Cheers

Pet I know people who have done it without trouble as long as they have all their vacinations documented and up to date. From what I hear, the real issue is with the airlines, who hate shipping dogs and make it really difficult now. By the way, the word in English is pet, not mascot. A mascot in English is an animal or character that represents a sports team, ie. Bucky the Badger or the Dallas Cowboys.

Mr Hollywood / Mascot Thanks for the info... I know the meaning of the word " Mascot" I used it because she is my good luck charm.

Pet v/s Mascot Pet or mascot, stay away from ethnic neighborhoods of the oriental type (i.e.; Chinatown, Little-Vietnam, etc...)

These neighborhoods are notoriously free of street-dogs and errant-cats, and their typical restaurants always seem to offer the lowest priced meat-dishes.

Buen viaje I thought there was some confusion between mascota/mascot. Good luck sorting out the doggie details and have a good trip.

The Chinese restaurant next door has wonderful chicken dishes that do not resemble any chicken I have ever eaten before. I am curious if I am eating pooch or pussy?

Or would the latter be considered seafood?
