hello I plan to go to medellin in may. I have been to cartagena with my mother in the past. I want to stay in medellin for about 5 days. from a tuesday to sunday then I want to go to a beachy town. Besides cartagena are there any other towns with nightlife and beaches? Please tell me what I can do in medellin as far as day/night actividades. Gracias para tu ayuda. hablo espanol. thanks

platano says on Apr 26, 2005, 20:36: Waterboy, Medellin is one of the BEST cities in Colombia for bookstores. Five days is a short amount of time to see all the bookstores in Medellin but you can get to many of them. I have met the most interesting women in bookstores (lawyers, social workers, doctors, and other professional women as well as activists, thinkers, and dreamers capable of carrying on an intelligent and fascinating conversation. I mean you can get laid anywhere and those experiences start blurring together. But have a fascinating conversation with an intelligent Paisa woman and it could change your life forever, an experience you won't forget.
