Traveling to Colombia for the first time

Hello everyone,
I am a gringo traveling to Bogota for the frist time.My fiance is in Bogota, I am meeting her aunts and uncles for the frist time. I heard if you are traveling from the USA you should bring gifts for the families,I have no clue what to bring if anyone could give me some suggestions I would most defently appreciate it.

I just don't get it So many people ask these questions about what to buy there fiances families or what its like in the girls town they are going to visit.

I mean surely you can just ask her, she knows her family better than anyone else.

Im really worried that alot of these people don't even know their fiances or the people they are travelling halfway across the world to visit. I mean if you can't communicate in regards to these small issues how the hell do you handle the personal stuff?

What personal stuff? They communicate with hand gestures, pig Latin, Ben Franklins and lots of nooky.
