At the time it was nice but a bit of a let down for a theme park (probably becuase my head was always filled with images of Disneyland vacations thayt my classmates took).

We did go to the south, but it was always in a car. I remember seeing gamines. The worst thing that happened to me in Bogota was that once when we were getting off of the rear doors of a buseta (I was about 8 yrs old), it drove off after my cousin and mother had stepped down, while I was still standing in the stairwell. Since that time however, we have mostly taken taxis to get around in Bogota. Good thing they are affordable.
