travel to mexico

my girlfriend and I would like to go to mexico for a week, just to spend some time and to get to know each other before we try the fiance visa, how dificult is to get a mexican visa for a colombian girl? and do you think is a good idea? do you think is better to get a k1 visa or getting married in colombia and apply for k-3 ? I have family in mexico can that also help?
