Travel to Costa Rica

I am thinking of going to Costa Rica and taking my wife, who is Colombian. It used to be they required a visa to enter Costa Rica. Is that still a requirement?

If she has a US green card I know she can go.. Other than that I am not sure.

Call the Costa Rican embassy in Colombia.. I am sure they will know. That would be where you have to get a visa if she needs one. They probably have something on there web site.

There should be no problem in entering Costa Rica. They dont mess with u until youre already in..........but they do treat Colombians and Dominicanas differently. But if shes your wife and u show em proof of sufficient funds(aka various credit cards or cash or t.c.) there will be no problem. Costa Rica knows how to get u in, its what they do with ya once yur in that is the issue...........buen viaje......drop me a line when yur close to the border, aloha...........

She will need a visa for Costa Rica then. Hopefully it will be easy as some suggest. Good luck!

I think they just started to require a visa a couple of years ago. Maybe the Tica hookers got tired of the intense competition. If you want to try, I would go to Panama and attempt crossing by land but I have no idea what your chances would be, only that they would be better by air. It might be tough to get a visa.

No problem is so formidable that you can't walk away from it.

NO, no, no, no.........showing enuff proof of funds solves all problems for anybody including Colombians in Costa Rica.......unless the Colombian happens to be on some restricted list which would include Colombians who have previously been tossed out of the country........

She needs a Visa..
