transporting a Tractor to Medellin.

Hi all, I have read a large number of post on here for used cars, trucks, motorcycles and so on not being allowed into Colombia permanantly.. I would like to ship my 07 Kubota Tractor via MIA to MDE.. will need it for the acreage and since its pretty knew and not cheap, i am curious if this fits into the car/truck catagory?? or is there a farm machinery and implement exemption?? It would be staying permanantly.. Thanks for any help... mc

m.....not certain, but i do know that there's a real big business in importing used/reconditioned heavy equipment. whether that includes your kubota, is another story. call DIAN and ask them. it's too bad the 'bulldog' is gone. she was about the only person you could get a really straight answer from. but, it's worth the ask.

It is with a few exceptions. Check the DIAN site or call then in Bogotá. The big problem has been the Democrats in Congress. They love free trade like vampires love garlic. ...

the tractor will fall somewhere in the 8700 section somewhere near the end of the document.
