Transmilenio

hello...

Does anyone know which transmilenio is closest to the following sites:

Museo de Oro
Museo de Botero
Museo Nacional
Quinta de Bolivar
Museo del 20 de Julio
Museo de trajes regionales
Plaza de Bolivar
La candelaria

Also does anyone know if any of the churches in La candelaria and around Plaza de Bolivar charge admission?

Thanks!

The transmileno on Avenida Jimenez has a stop at the Museo del Oro. You can walk from there anywhere in La Candelaria.

Thanks! so you get off at the Avenida Jimenez stop, or at the Museo del Oro stop?

Get off at Museo del Oro.

For Quinta de Bolivar it's the next stop, Las Aguas, although both stations are within walking distance.

El Museo Nacional is a bit more to the North, it's more convenient to go off at Calle 26 stop:

The only church that charges admission is Santa Clara which is actually a Museum. Worth paying and not much, maybe $2,000 or so.

If you don't mind walking, every place I have been to on your list are within reasonable walking distance of each other. Parks, museums, Candelaria, Centro, etc are all within walking distance. The Hotel Tequendama is a good place "to land", and then go north, east, or south and you can get to anything you listed.

BEWARE of gold diggers.

Just be aware of pickpockets and such. Candelaria and centro can get a little seedy at night. No big deal, but I wouldn't get plastered at a bar in barrio Candelaria, and then stagger through the neighborhood at 2am. Just use normal precautions, same as a street-wise person would use in Miami or Chicago.

All of these places are less than a 15 to 20 min walk from each other. In fact I walked from Monserate to Museo del Oro (the temporary one) and to the presidential palace failry quickly so just pick one stop and go from there.
